Cookie Down Under
______________________
Finally after waiting two odd years,
Cookie is here!!!!!
Spent a bomb on this dog really!
Bought her for S$1,380 (if I rem correctly)
Paid more than S$4,000 to bring her here (air ticket & vet checks)
A$ 800 (S$1040) for lodging at the quarantine station
Total: $ 6,420
(and that excludes food, utilities, shampoo, flea control, toys, treats etc)
I think Cookie has costs us more than 10,000 la!
This lucky dog!
Bet some people must be thinking,
WTH,
spend so much on dog,
never sponsor my ticket there
(:P you know who you are hehex..)
Anyways,
here're the pics from our Fri visit:
Cookie in her kennel
Cookie's room.. it looks much better in real life.
Somehow the flash made it ugly.
She was so cute,
she showed us her room.
Dad cleaning her face.
I called her and she ran over so excitedly.
Enjoying a treat Reluctant for us to leave.Want to try and sneak out.
Poor thing~
Till the next visit :(

Na's ramblings
_________________________ Tml marks the last day of school~ EVER!
Getting mixed feelings now..
Happy that finally I've finished the race
and gotten to that destination.
However,
on the other hand I'm worried about the unknown.
Uncertain about my future.
But anyhow, shall leave that for another day.
...........................................................................................
Heard my final "single" pal is applying for a house.
Gals, I'm the only one left :S
I'm so far back,
I don't know where I am now~
............................................................................................
Anyway,
as you probably have guessed,
this blog has no real motive behind it.
Complete nonsensical ramblings.
Don't know how to continue.
Na- Out.

Cook's Cottage in Fitzroy Gardens
___________________________________
History crash course:
Located in Fitzroy Garden, Cook’s Cottage,
the original childhood home of
Captain James Cook’s and his parents,
James and Grace Cook has been
a well known Melbourne landmark since 1934.
Operators of the Cottage promote the Cottage
as the home Captain Cook resided in
when he visited friends
and relatives in between his
voyages to the South Seas.
In brief,
the original 18th century cottage
was carefully dismantled
and transported to Melbourne
in 253 cases and 40 barrels in 1934.
IMAGINE THAT!
Anyways here goes:
Initials J.G.C
James, Grace Cook
antique furniture from Yorkshire, England
Dining room cum kitchen
An indication of the size of the cottage. Ney is ~1.79m
Child's bed: If you're wondering why its so short, I read somewhere that children are encouraged to slp upright.
Geez~
Living space
Fireplace
James Cook's parents room: imagine looking out this window into 18th century English country
nEy tryin to be funny
replica of 18th century English garden

Old Melbourne Gaol
______________________
Been a long time since I've blogged.
Haven't really been in the mood~
Anyways, on a lighter note,
I've finally visited the
Old Melbourne Gaol.
I've walked past it a thousand times
but never seen the need to visit it.
This time,
in the name of research,
I went to have a look.
Talk about dark tourism.
Had an assignment about
!! Authenticity !!
(Don't even remind me about it)
Am doing another tourism unit this sem,
so, for my assignment,
I had to write and essay
about authenticity of heritage sites.
Once again,
poor Neyney had to come along as well~
Paid $30 each for a 1.5hr candlelit night tour.
Crash course on history:
Melbourne Gaol is Victoria's oldest
surviving penal establishment.
It currently exhibits 19th century gaol life,
including the death masks
and memorabilia of some of
Melbourne's most notorious criminals.
The prison was also a focus during some of
Australia’s most significant historical moments,
including the Gold Rush and World War II.
Entrance: Old Melbourne Gaol
Little something tt I found interesting~
Lonely corridors
kINDA disrepectful,
but hey lighten up :P
Not tin robots,
apparently its the original iron masks
that prisoners have to wear.
**Didn't have much time to take
photos cause was kinda rush...
