Bangkok Trip (31/6-3/7)

WHOA! Yan and I have been talkin about this trip since we were in secondary sch~!

Freaking long time ago. This year we decided.

With the boys army pay and our miserable savings,

we decided to go on a much awaited BANGKOK SHOPPING TRIP!!!

I've been goin there every year

and each time I come back with so many interesting things!!

Plus I always wanted to bring Yan and my gal pals there...

Seriously, the time has come.. one thing off our wish list now :)

31/ 6/06 Day One:

Set off @ Changi for Bangkok at Terminal One.

Arrived at 9am, had breakfast and off we go~~~~

Ney bought a couple of shirts from this shop
Arrived in BKK, checked into hotel and we went to Siam Square and had guess what?!

A&W for lunch!!!

Curly fries, fried chicken and most importantly, root beer@@##!!!

Whoa laggi happy. A&W is extinct in Singapore man.

Alright than we bought a number of things..

Handicraft blah blah than we went to an old school café. Damn nice can :)

After dinner shopping was done @ Suan Lum Night Bazzar.

Quite disappointing I would say.

Didn’t managed to get much from there.

Back to hotel for some zZzz…

End of day one.

1/7/06 Day Two

Left the hotel at around 1030am, had corn for breakfast, some waffle along the street,

then headed for Chatuchak Weekend Market.

It’s a huge wholesaler area where you can find anything under the sun.

One day is definitely not enough there.

You can find anything from pets to toothbrushes there!

They sell dogs like any other product man.

Filled our stomachs with western lunch than continue on our hunt for good bargains.

Well the rest of the afternoon was chiong ah chiong ah… shop shop shop.

We even bought an electronic motor fan like thing to keep cool.

Even neyney the cool freak also managed to get some good buys.. he shopped too.

Than we got back to the hotel bathed and headed for dinner..

this is the most interesting part. We got conned by a cab driver.

Ok. Here goes, our initial plan was to go to Siam SQ again for dinner at some food court.

Than this driver came and told us that for 20baht yes.

20 baht, we could have a nice dinner nearby.

We were not that stupid. We asked, was it expensive. He said well, they have a variety of food.

So we thought ok we can order the cheapest. 20baht for to and fro trip.

So we thought ok loh!~ why not right.

THAN HERE COMES THE TRICK. He drove us to this stupid place.

Whoa lao eh. Everything was so expensive. We knew we were in for it. So we went to order like 4 simple dishes, cost us almost 70odd SINGAOPORE DOLLARS..

they could have easily fed us a couple of times more.

Hai ok la nvm. After dinner we walked out. Expected, that bugger wasn’t there anymore.

Must be got his commission liao than zhao~@! Lame ass. Alright.
Due to the rain, we couldn’t go far so we caught a movie at the new Siam Paragon Complex..

Whoa super posh place. All the labels and hi tech stuff.

I begin to wonder, are all posh shopping centres called paragon something..

imagine the one in Singapore.

This one is 10 times more posh k!! On top of that, the movie experience whoa!

Fantastic. Leather seats, can recline or even rock that kind. Superb sound systems fresh new carpets.. and even ushers to show you into the cinema..

Singapore doesn’t have such crap loh.

The ticket cost us S$6.50 whoa.. you see.

Same price however, crappy service, old carpets and all.. popcorn all over..

I’m talking about Lido cinema :P

Ok end of day, went back zzzz…

2/7/06 Day Three

Same, left hotel around the same time. Went to the Bangkok Zoo. AIYO… don’t wana talk about it.

Pretty stupid. Singapore Zoo is better..

My bf likes to take pictures of slping animals :S
REAGAN if you are reading this haha u better come to Singapore zoo I tell you.

Seriously… way better :P

OK than went back to wkend market again. This time we separated from Yan and Km,

too little time too much to shop.

So since it was like coming to the end of the trip we had to get all our stuff. Anyway it was good.

Neyney and I were left with miserable amounts of Thai Baht,

so we just slacked the afternoon away, eating thai desserts, thai cuisine and of course, we sat at this pretty cool bar cum café kinda thing.

After that, we left. It was pouring like mad, so we decided to take a cab. Usually from our hotel to the wkend market, it would cost ard 100baht, however!!!!

JUST BECAUSE it was raining, those idiotic cab drivers tried to charge us 400 baht whoa lao eh.

They think we stupid. Naturally being the stingy us, we wont be so foolish as to accept their offer.

We waiting patiently till we got a 200baht cab. By the time we got the cab.

We were soaked. The Chinese description of “luo tang ji” loosely translated as soaked soup chicken would be the exact word to describe us.

Alright than we had dinner at our small hotel then headed for more food at the road side store and then ice cream again.

Hheee.. Massage came next haha shiok!

Than ZzzzzZZZZ…

Day Four 3/7/06

Last day. We went to MBK shopping paradise haha.

This thing its some jelly like thing with green bean paste inside
We shopped for last min buys, feasted than yes.

Cab came to pick us up and we bid BKK goodbye. Lovely trip.

Full of stupid experiences..

Well, KM, Yan, Neyney, thanks for your wonderful company.

I had a great trip. Seriously thanks for making my holiday back to Singapore so interesting..

really value adding for me :)

looking forward to the year end Phuket trip!

Hopefully wont have to talk about it for another few years.
TWL & OFT pity you couldn’t join us. Or we would have more fun! Im sure :)

Back track

WoHOO~ Yeah... I've been away for a long time.

Ok, from the last time I blogged, all I did was study real hard for my exams and yea nothing but that.

Every morning I set foot and camp in Clayton's Library all the way till they close at 12 mid night.

Same thing everyday.

THEN~ YEA exams over. I back my back and "balik kampong".

Took SQ back this time. Well pretty disappointing I would say.

I left a day after my exams.. so pretty rush no time to blog at all..
OK than I arrived in Singapore on 18th of June. Damn happy.

Went out with my family and Ney to Pete's place @ Hyatt for dinner..

Italian fare~@@~??!! I was craving for damn local food la.

BUT it was Father's Day the rest felt we should have something

THEY didnt have to eat everyday, so bobian so gave up my cravings and tag along.

Than after dinner it was time to meet the pals.

All 8 were gathered and we had IceKimo!!!

Basically we were all the same.

Except for the fact that my gal pals were all either on holiday or resigned fromt their job~

So coincidental~!! They'll all be mine for this month?!?!

Thanks babes I really appreciate it :)

Neyney was sweet and took leave the next day to keep me company and catch up on old times..

We shopped around Town and revisited our fav places.
